The Bible Way to Heaven

1. We Have All Sinned.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)

God's word reminds us that we all have sinned. We have all fallen short of God's requirements, for at one time or another, we have all deliberately chosen to disobey God.

2. There Is a Price For Sin.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

A wage is something you earn. What we earn because of our sin is death and separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell. Hell is called the second death, and it is where all who die without Christ will spend eternity.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.(Revelation 21:8)

3. Jesus Paid That Price.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

The word commendeth means "proved". God proved His love for you by giving His own Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins.

4. We Must Repent of our Sin and Believe in Jesus Christ.

To repent means to change your mind about your sin, and turn from it to Christ. It's necessary to see your sin the way God sees it. All sin, no matter how great or small, causes us to fall short of getting into heaven. Only Jesus can wash away your sin, and promise you a home in heaven.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)

To believe in Jesus Christ as Savior means to believe, or be persuaded, that He paid the price for your sin, and He is the only way to Heaven. You can express your belief in Jesus by calling on Him in prayer.

Let us help you word a prayer (Realize it's not mere words that save, but your faith in Jesus Christ):

"Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I want to turn away from my sin, and trust you to save me from it. I believe you died on the cross and paid the penalty for my sin. I believe you rose from the dead three days later. I am placing my faith in you alone to forgive my sin, save me, and take me to heaven when I die. Thank you for giving me eternal life, in Jesus' name, AMEN."

If you called upon Jesus to be your Saviour, you can hold on to these wonderful promises, and many more...

(Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

(John 1:12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
